Nevada Baccarat Win Rises 11.5% on September Hold Rebound

  • Statewide baccarat win reached $58.6 million on 413 tables in September, up 11.5% from a year earlier at a 9.74% hold.
  • Last September’s hold was only 8.54% after win fell 44.3%, so a 1.2-point hold recovery, not heavier wagering, drove the gain.
  • The Las Vegas Strip supplied $55.4 million of the total, up 9.9% at a 9.82% hold, with 14 fewer tables than last year.
  • Mini-baccarat win fell 33.3% to $5.9 million on 110 tables, a hold of 10.29% against 14.85% a year earlier.

LAS VEGAS – Nevada casinos won $58.6 million at baccarat in September 2026, 11.5% more than a year earlier, while keeping only 9.74% of what players put on the tables, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s September 2026 revenue report.

Hold ran nearly six points below the 12-month average

The board’s 12-month baccarat hold is 15.73%, so September’s 9.74% fell nearly six points short of it. At the 12-month rate, the same September wagering would have produced about $95 million instead of $58.6 million.

Hold is the share of player buy-ins the casinos keep, which the board reports as win percent. It is not the edge on a single hand. The baccarat house edge stays 1.06% on a Banker bet and 1.24% on a Player bet in an eight-deck game, and the same chips going around the table many times is how a 1% edge becomes a double-digit hold. A soft month for the house therefore reflects results at the tables, not a looser game.

Hold also ignores how many tables a floor runs, which makes it the measure Best Baccarat Sites uses to compare one state’s baccarat with another’s.

A weak September 2025 set the bar low

The comparison month was weaker. In its report a year earlier, the board showed September 2025 baccarat win falling 44.3% to $52.2 million at an 8.54% hold on 408 tables. This September’s hold was 1.2 points better, a 14% larger share of buy-ins, while win grew 11.5%. Win rising less than hold means wagering was a touch lower, not higher, and the 413 tables at 33 locations barely moved from 408 a year earlier.

The Strip supplied nearly 95% of the win

Casinos on the Las Vegas Strip accounted for $55.4 million of the statewide figure, a 9.9% gain. The Strip’s 24 baccarat locations ran 365 tables against 379 a year earlier, and the hold was 9.82% against 8.49% in September 2025. Fewer tables and a better hold point to hold as the swing on the Strip too.

Mini-baccarat gave back a third

Statewide mini-baccarat win fell 33.3% to $5.9 million across 40 locations and 110 tables, against 118 tables a year earlier. The hold slid from 14.85% to 10.29%, a drop of almost a third that accounts for nearly all of the win decline, with wagering down less than 4%. Strip mini-baccarat won $3.2 million, down 37.0%, at a 10.75% hold.

The two games together won about $64.5 million, up 5.6%. Baccarat and mini-baccarat both moved on hold rather than wagering, in opposite directions, while the state’s table and card games as a whole gave up 3.61%, winning $333.7 million.

Three-month win rose 17.7% on heavier wagering

Baccarat win for July through September totaled $337.2 million, up 17.7%, at a 13.68% hold. The same quarter’s hold was 14.72% a year earlier, so with hold lower and win higher, wagering rose by more than a quarter. That makes September the exception, with a quarter built on volume and a month built on hold.

Over the 12 months ended Sept. 30, baccarat win is $1.575 billion, up 8.0%, at a 15.73% hold against 16.48% in the 12 months ended September 2025.
